Building your new home is one of the biggest investments you’ll ever take on and we treat it that way.
You’ll deal directly with a dedicated project manager throughout your building journey. We’ll be at every meeting, on the end of the phone and on some of us are even on the tools because we believe this is what brings your vision to life.
01. Initial Consult
Every great project starts with a conversation. Come in and have a chat with us or set up a time for a zoom or phone call. We’ll start by talking about your needs, vision, style and look of your house and give you an overview of our team and how we can best serve you throughout your building journey.
Owner Lance, Architect Marc and in-house Designer Tori work closely together to turn your ideas into a custom designed plan or we’ll happily quote & build to your existing plan. If you’re after some inspiration, check out our existing plans right here.
From our initial meeting, our integrated team will collaboratively work through your ideas and develop a concept floor plan and elevations.
Alternatively, you’re welcome to provide your own plans… It’s your choice! At this point we will also be able to provide you a detailed specification letter and estimate.
When all adjustments have been made and you are happy with the floor plan and specification detail, we will sign the agreement to proceed to working drawings so that drawings can be sent to the Draughtsman.
We will then discuss options for the build contract, Estimate and arrange a signing meeting. When you are satisfied with your contract and it is finalised, we can then get started on the building itself.
We will take care of all the paperwork for you, any required engineering reports, council consents, we work with the Draughtsman and Council to get the building consent passed.
05. Colour & Design
During this meeting, you will meet with us to discuss the colours and fixtures for the house, we will show you what products have been allowed in the specification and will collate all your choices together for the site file to allow for a seamless build.
Let’s build! This is where all your idea’s start to come to life. This is the longest phase of the project. From earth works, to hand over, and everything in between.
We dedicate two builders to work on your project and the job will be project managed by a dedicated Project Manager.
We will be in contact on a weekly basis and if you are unable to visit the site, we can send photos of the key milestone points.
This is the most exciting part when we hand over the keys to your newly built or newly transformed home! Once the house has been completed, Council will issue the Code Compliance Certificate we will hand the house over to you. At this point, you will sign a practical completion certificate and will be given the keys and a maintenance schedule. An inspection of your new home will be undertaken by us three months after the code compliance was issued.
Now the best part of the build process - time to enjoy your new Coastal Home.
